The organization that he founded, Doctors for Patient Freedom, is working to ensure that individual savings, personal healthcare choice, and competition, all create better and more affordable medical care for Americans.
Dr. McKalip has written and spoken on the unintended consequences of expanded government, of corporate control, of health care financing, and medical decision-making policies. He believes these kinds of policies require specific review and remedy, particularly policies regarding rationing, cookbook medicine, unsustainable economic models for government, and unaffordable or unavailable private insurance products and financing options for patients.
He is actively involved in bringing these issues to light with the hope of positive change to assist his patients and the nation’s healthcare providers’ patients who believe the current system requires systematic evaluation and course correction.
